Chicagoan David T. Kim is a multi-talented potter, ceramicist and designer. As a student of the process, his artistic foundation very hands on - with the advancement of skill made through continually manipulating and mastering various processes. Kim uses clay as an output because it is a malleable material where forms and ideas can easily be converted to a three dimensional plane. He uses multiple techniques to create his work - his sculptural work is raw and formative while his tableware and functional pieces can be found in high-end restaurants setting the stage for master chefs.
